Im a huge fan of Apple products (as I sit here typing with my 17' powerbook G4.) I used to use windows, and at the time I thought that wasjust great for me. Then, I started using my husbands Mac, which I was totally unfamiliar with at first, and lazy to learn, but i got used to it. The time soon came for me to get my own laptop, and when my husband suggested I get a Mac too, I thought no way. First of all I knew windows better (or so I thought,) Secondly there were so many laptops on the market for running windows, I would be spoilt for choice! So at my request my husband brought me an IBM thinkpad
running Windows XP Professional. I was happy and played with my new toy for a few days. It came to my attention that I needed antivirus, so I found a decent one (bitdefender) and started installation. To my horror, while installing this software, I was hit with a really bad virus and my computer just shut down! I couldnt get it to work again so we reinstalled windows. Then came
the 'drivers' problem. I didnt have access to wireless internet and my sound had gone. It appeared we
needed to download the drivers and install those, which took half the day to find the correct ones! After this we installed the antivirus and everything was, well... ok. The antivirus ran itself everyday, finding so many threats and attempted attacks, it was just ridiculous. I really started to regret my husbands offer to get me my own mac.

In time my husband needed to update his mac for an intel processor.. and lucky for me I ended up with his old one. I will NEVER go back to using a windows computer, every time I have to go near one I shudder in fear of what is going to happen if I even just look at the machine! there are so many issues windows need to sort out I cant even begin to count.
Mac on the other hand, is user friendly, almost every problem can be sorted by yourself and you don't need to be a computer wizard, they're pretty much virus free, I have reinstalled Leopard many times and have never had a driver problem, not to mention they look awesome!
On to the ipod.. now we all remember them taking the world by storm, almost everyone owned one, they still do! last year itunes took the lead for music sales in U.S.A.
Next up we have the iphone.. the original was released last year, an amazing gadget, with a not so amazing price tag. However, this years release of the new iphone 3G, at half the originals price, its set to take the world by storm. Only available on contract at the moment, but I don't see that stopping anyone with the devteam about. Watch this space...
